Lane F. Cooper

Lane is the Director of Special Projects at InfoTech, and is responsible for developing consultative communications campaigns that put specific technology applications into business contexts that decision-makers in end-user organizations can understand and appreciate.
He has 20 years of experience analyzing the business and technology industry. Lane comes to InfoTech after more than 10 years as the founder and Director of CRA Reports, an independent reporting agency that covered the impact of technology-enabled business strategies on vertical markets.
During that time, he produced the daily Washington News Bureau Technology Minute for WTOP in Washington, D.C, and served as editorial director of Larstan Business Reports. Prior to forming CRA he worked at Phillips Business Information (PBI), initially as a beat reporter, eventually advancing to become the senior managing editor of the Defense/Venture group. He has been responsible for a significant number of editorial launches. He co-founded the Washington News Bureau LLC and started a series of trade publications for PBI, including: Technology Transfer Week, Multimedia Week, Electronic Imaging Report and Electronic Messaging News. Lane received a degree in International Relations from American University and is fluent in three languages. He resides in the San Francisco Bay area with his wife Patty and his son Nicholas.
