Susan Hobart is Vice President of InfoTech and Senior Program Director for InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications (IEC). With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Ms. Hobart has expertise in strategic planning, marketing and business turnarounds. She initially joined InfoTech in 1999 as a Senior Consultant providing custom consulting across a range of business technology issues. Other positions she has held at InfoTech include Director of Consulting Operations, and Vice President with responsibility for market intelligence products, primary research studies and reports. As the leader of the IEC program, Ms. Hobart is responsible for market intelligence and analysis of the traditional and IP Telephony equipment markets, through quarterly programs as well as custom consulting.
Prior to joining InfoTech, Ms. Hobart was General Manager and Marketing Director at AT&T. As General Manager of Accessible Communications Services, she turned a business unit losing over $20 million annually to positive $10 million through cost driver reengineering and profitable growth. In this role, she renegotiated a labor contract and deployed new technology that reduced the number of call centers and improved unit cost by 33%. She also revamped customer care processes and measurements to lead the industry in customer satisfactions. While Product Manager for Operator Services, Ms. Hobart introduced voice recognition technology and AT&T’s first 800 operator/calling card service, which became 1-800-CALL ATT. While National Sales Manager for public phone services, she project managed installation of a 31,000 payphone contract on budget and schedule, and surpassed market share objectives by 8 percentage points.
Prior to joining AT&T Ms. Hobart was a Member of the Technical Staff at The MITRE Corporation, where she conducted systems analyses.
Ms. Hobart earned a BA in Economics from Vassar College and an MBA in Marketing from Boston University.
