New Secure Mobility Report Microsite Explores Best Practices, Uncovers Barriers
Business Wire PARSIPPANY, NJ March 30, 2006 The Telecom Intelligence Group announces the launch of the Secure Mobility Report microsite (www.telecomweb.com/SMR). Inaugural content on the site explores the best practices and technologies to support mobile devices, and it also explores the impact Wireless LAN security fear is having on enterprises, service providers and technology manufacturers.
“The increasingly mobile workforce is raising the ante on enterprise systems security. Organizations in the public and private sector are reevaluating what it means to secure critical information assets when they use wireless infrastructure inside and outside of their organizational boundaries,” says Mike O’Neill, vice president and group publisher at The Telecom Intelligence Group. “The mission of the secure mobility report is to provide practical insight into the strategic, operational, technical and financial considerations that advance secure mobility worldwide.”
The Secure Mobility Report features exclusive research from TelecomWeb’s sister organization InfoTech, the premiere provider of market intelligence and analysis to the telecom industry. Jeanine Sterling, vice president and senior program director for InfoTech’s InfoTrack for Enterprise Mobility , will provide ongoing quantitative and qualitative research reports on security developments that are driving major decisions to support the global mobile infrastructure. Readers also will have access to news and analysis, case studies, exclusive white papers and Webinars.
The microsite is sponsored by secure mobility solutions provider Siemens Communications. “The mobility space has evolved at a frenetic pace during the last 18 months,” says Sterling. “Technologies, business strategies and best practices consequently have changed in response. Given this dynamic environment, it is important to stay abreast and understand the impact these rapidly unfolding developments have on the marketplace. This is why Siemens decided to support the production of exclusive research and independent analysis of this sector of business and technology,” according to Sterling.
